Palo Santo – Holy Wood – grown in the drier regions of South America and used in Ecuador and Peru to repel mosquitos and as an atmospheric soother for chest troubles (not to be taken internally). The tree is related to Frankincense and Myrrh and may invoke similar sensations of entering into a sacred site. Palo Santo incense is widely considered to have mystical qualities that help keep energies clear and vibrating at a higher level.
Palo Santo incense is used to create an uplifting atmosphere and to promote meditative states. It is easy to see why simply by breathing in the scent which is a delightful mix of mint, citrus and frankincense notes.
