Caroline Myss has created a unique set of 80 Archetype Cards, each individually designed to provide the basic Light and Shadow Attributes of a different Archetype.
The concept of Archetypes goes back to Ancient Greece but was developed by the psychoanalyst Carl G Jung in the early years of the 20th century. His theory was that there are fundamental patterns and symbols that run through the human psyche and unconscious experience. These unconscious archetypal forces can dominate our behaviour and motivations. Jung believed that bringing these unconscious patterns to the conscious mind would enable us to change our behaviour so that we would be less controlled by unconscious motivations.
Caroline Myss has made these Archetypal images available for our modern times. The 80 cards in this pack clearly and simply show us the Positive and Negative aspects of the archetypes, help us to understand which archetypes we currently identify with and shows how to connect with our unconscious archetypes so that we can gain more control over our behaviour.
